The RHS Chelsea Flower Show

The RHS Chelsea Flower Show

The RHS Chelsea Flower Show hire robust GPRS payment terminals before and during the show for the past five years.

The Show is to garden design as Fashion Week is to the fashion industry – an annual celebration of horticulture of the highest order.

It has been held in the grounds of the Chelsea Hospital every year since 1913, apart from gaps during the two World Wars. It used to be Britain’s largest flower show (it has now been overtaken by Hampton Court), but is still the most prestigious.

Attended by 157,000 visitors each year - a number limited by the capacity of the 45,000 sq m (11-acre) ground, the organisers needed a reliable, trusted supplier for their card payment terminals.

123Hire is proud to have provided mobile / GPRS terminals on short term hire basis to The RHS Chelsea Flower Show for the past five years. The organisers use 123Hires robust GPRS terminals for various uses throughout the show build up and during the event. This mobile terminal operates on a GPRS network and allows payment to be taken in any area of the event.

According to Joanna Stewart, Deputy Operations Manager, the terminals are used for car parking bookings, coach permits, and for exhibitors on site to pay for fork lifting and water drainage activity during build up and break down periods.
